Quite a luxury dining experience. We ordered the veg burger and steak. My burger was quite okay. Not much to say. Apparently the steak was tasty as told by my husband (whose b‘day we went to celebrate btw.) The desert was also decent. Super steep prices given the ambience is beautiful! Recommended for special occasion.

We came for a company dinner and all in all we left full and satisfied. The meat dishes were all great (we had a shared table buffet for all) the sides were good but not great. Also some sides were not the hottest when served. We had a separate room which was nicely decorated but I would wished for some background music as it was quite “quiet” in the room during the meals. All in all nice and I can recommend but still some areas to improve.

I have travelled to work in Detmold for over 30 years and always enjoy having a meal here before I travel back home to the UK. Had the flank steak and asked for it cooked the way the chef would have it and it came out perfectly medium rare and delicious. Some superb wine and my favourite dessert CrÚme brûlée - highly recommend

Das Restaurant ist harmonisch gestaltet. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Fleisch ist zart gewesen und die Portionen ausreichend. Auch bei den Vorspeisen ist fĂŒr jeden etwas dabei. Bei UnvertrĂ€glichkeiten wurde RĂŒcksicht genommen und das Personal hat stets darauf hingewiesen wo z.B. Laktose enthalten ist. Die CroĂ»tons haben mir nicht so gut geschmeckt, da sie nicht wie erwartet knusprig waren. Die Dessert (Kuchen, Eis) waren durchschnittlich.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 14 Personen da. Der Empfang freundlich der erste Eindruck positiv. Unsere Servicekraft war nicht unerfahren aber auch kein alter Hase am Tablett, sehr freundlich und versucht Bestellungen nach Plan aufzunehmen. Wir kamen Recht frĂŒh mit wenigen anderen GĂ€sten, die GetrĂ€nke wurden rasch aufgenommen und auch gebracht. Bei den Vorspeisen, drei Scampi PfĂ€nnchen einer Suppe und einem Entengericht dauert das ganze dann doch knapp eine Stunde. Okay das Lokal wurde voller und der Service sah dĂŒnn besetzt aus. Also jedoch dann nach weiteren 1,5 Std der Hauptgang kam brach das Chaos aus. Das Fleisch teils zu lange unter der WĂ€rmelampe gelegen kam alleine auf dem Teller, die Beilagen so viel spĂ€ter, an dass das Fleisch schon kalt war und man warme Beilagen mit kaltem Fleisch essen musst. Einige bekamen die Beilage so spĂ€t dass sie sich bereits bei anderen Beilagen bedient hatten und somit schon fertig waren um nicht komplett kaltes essen zu haben. Die QualitĂ€t war aber auch bei dem "abgekĂŒhlten" Fleisch wirklich gut. Bei dem Ambiente und der Darstellung sollte weder so ein Chaos beim anreichen entstehen weder soviele Beilagen verspĂ€tet ankommen. Im ganzen kann man in kleiner Gruppe sicherlich gut im thecobbler speisen, wir als große Gruppe sind jedoch nicht so glĂŒcklich geworden. Traut euch doch kĂŒnftig bei großen Gruppen einen kleinen Servierwagen zu benutzen, weniger Personen, weniger Chaos dafĂŒr mehr Überblick beim servieren und soviel mehr Klasse. Danke dennoch fĂŒr den netten Abend.

Die Speisekarte bietet eine tolle Auswahl an Gerichten, die nicht nur lecker, sondern auch kreativ und durchdacht sind. Die AtmosphĂ€re ist modern, aber gleichzeitig so gemĂŒtlich, dass man sich sofort wohlfĂŒhlt. :) Als wir nach einem Restaurant fĂŒr unser Essen nach der standesamtlichen Trauung gesucht haben, war uns sofort klar, dass "The Cobbler" der perfekte Ort ist – und es war die beste Entscheidung! Der Nebenraum, in dem wir saßen, war so gemĂŒtlich und wunderschön dekoriert. Die Speisen und GetrĂ€nke waren einfach hervorragend! Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den Service, der einfach top war: aufmerksam, freundlich und zuvorkommend! Wir und unsere Familie waren rundum begeistert.
